 New Delhi || A coronavirus positive woman has given birth to a child in AIIMS, Delhi. Officials say the baby is fully healthy by now. Dr. who leads the professor and delivery team in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at AIIMS. Neerja Bhatla said that the baby was born on Friday evening and so far she is fine.
There after, when asked if the child's sample would be tested for corona, Neeraj bhatla said, 'We are monitoring his condition and also looking for signs of disease in him. So far the baby is fine. ' According to doctors, this is the first child born in Delhi to a corona virus infected woman.


Infection was found on Thursday


  • The coronavirus was found on Thursday in the mother of a nine-month-old pregnant child. Her husband works as a senior resident resident doctor in the Department of Physiology at AIIMS and was also found to have a corinavirus infection. In addition, the doctor's brother is also Coronavirus positive. Another doctor said that the new born baby is with her mother right now because the baby would need to breastfeed. So far, there is no evidence that suggests that the virus can be transmitted through lactation. The doctor said that the mother is also fine. Explain that AIIMS has already prepared a protocol to take care of corona infected pregnant women patients.
